Tabor Stevens is getting pretty good at this whole winning-national-championships thing.

Already with two national titles for Adams State College, the Cañon City High School graduate was 11 seconds faster than anyone else on Saturday to win the Division II Men's Cross Country Championship at the Plantes Ferry Athletic Complex in Spokane, Wash. ASU also won the team title.

"Being able to run under pressure and make stuff happen, do big stuff when it counts," he said, "I guess I'm able to do that.

"It's just the way I am, everybody has different mental characteristics, and I guess that's one of mine."

The college junior has already won the national championship indoor mile and the outdoor steeplechase that was held this past spring at Colorado State University-Pueblo.
