Adams State 1st Place Women's 6K Race - NCAA D2 Cross Country Championships 2019

Adams State added to its NCAA Division 2 record with an 18th women's team championship, equaling the lowest score in finals history established by the 1999 Grizzlies team with 23 points at the Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, Calif. Sophomore Stephanie Cotter (19:15.5) and seniors Eilish Flanagan (19:39) and Roisin Flanagan (19:39.3) swept the top three spots for Adams State, which won its third championship in five years. Senior HaLeigh Hunter-Galvan was sixth in 20:19.2 and senior Tiffany Christensen placed 13th in 20:36.7, with senior Kaylee Bogina finishing 25th in 20:51.3 and sophomore Piper Meuwissen securing 31st in 20:54.6 for the Grizzlies, who have won 21 overall women's national titles, including three at the NAIA level before making the move to Division 2.
