Fatima Alanis of Queens University in North Carolina took third in the women's 6-kilometer final at the NCAA Division 2 Cross Country Championships at Abbey Golf Course in Saint Leo, Florida. Alanis, a decorated global triathlete representing Mexico competing in her first cross country national final, helped Queens place sixth overall with 254 points.
